For transportation on the island there is a bus connecting Chora, the port, with the village of Roukounas and the monastery. The remaining routes are covered with boats and cars.
The road network is developed and you can reach the beaches by cars, motorbikes and buses or even by sea using lanza, small local boats. The island also has a gas station.
